Jennifer Kovi

Independently Contracted Provider

Licensed Independent Social Worker – Supervisor

Jenny is an Independently Licensed Social Worker with Supervisor designation (LISW-S) who has dedicated the past 19 years to supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families impacted by trauma. Her career has centered on the child welfare system, where she has worked extensively with children in foster care and those who have experienced abuse, neglect, attachment disruptions, family instability, and other adverse childhood experiences. She also partners with biological, foster, and kinship caregivers to strengthen family relationships and promote lasting healing.

Jenny is equally passionate about helping adults heal from the lasting impact of childhood trauma. She believes that by understanding and processing early life experiences, individuals can break generational cycles, build healthier relationships, and become the strongest, healthiest version of themselves—for their own well-being and for the families they love.

Specializing in trauma-informed care, Jenny helps clients understand how trauma shapes thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships while guiding them toward greater emotional regulation, resilience, and hope.

Jenny is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She is currently pursuing EMDRIA certification. Her therapeutic approach blends evidence-based trauma treatment with holistic practices, including mindfulness, breathwork, and progressive muscle relaxation inspired by her personal yoga practice, helping clients process traumatic experiences, reconnect with themselves, and achieve lasting healing.

In addition to her clinical work, Jenny provides mental performance coaching for young athletes, helping them develop focus, confidence, emotional regulation, resilience, and the ability to perform under pressure. She teaches athletes how to effectively respond to mistakes, reset their mindset, and quickly refocus on the next play—building the mental resilience needed to succeed in both competition and everyday life.

Jenny earned her Master of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University, where she received a Child Welfare Fellowship with an emphasis in leadership and supervision. She is licensed by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board.

Jenny recognizes the courage it takes to begin therapy and considers it a privilege to walk alongside her clients on their healing journey. Her goal is to help children, adolescents, adults, and families heal from trauma, strengthen relationships, and build healthier, more connected lives.
